Gaining the complete trust of a previously abused animal, enough to be able to pick them up and hold them in your arms.

The fact that no matter what happened during the day, your dog is always insanely happy to see you when you get home.

Touching the cool, moist nose of a cute dog.

Waking up to find your cat asleep on your stomach, purring loudly.
